William Bains grew up with a wide range of music, none of which included Folk. He cites his musical influences as Tom Lehrer, Gilbert and Sullivan, and any Disney movie from before around 2005. He has written songs and song parodies for as long as he can remember, but only realized that anyone else might want to hear them quite recently, so he is now a regular on the Cambridge 'open stage' scene. This is his first 'proper' performance at a Folk Club. He does not have an album to sell you, but if you want a book on alien life, see him afterwards. 

A number of 10-minute floorspots will be available on the night.
