Cambridge North Folk Song Project is a collection of songs created with musicians and residents in Cambridge North, led by composer and artist Emily Peasgood. This performance is the culmination of songwriting workshops and performances that have taken place throughout 2020, resulting in a folk song book available for all to access and enjoy, free of charge, preserving the stories of local people for generations.

Emily Peasgood is an Ivor Novello Composer’s award winner, with a specialism in the fields of sonic art, composition and working in communities. Peasgood primarily works with singers, and will collaborate with CB4 residents to create a songbook of contemporary folk songs that express local stories, urban myths, people and places.
