20191206: Friday 6th December: Open Stage with Ruby Muse

Ruby Muse: Songwriter-performers Jools and Malcolm Heyes' describe their music as creative, contemporary folk-blues and electro-Americana. Their warm-hearted, perceptive alternative roots music, with its intense lyrical themes, great guitar harmonies and innovative twists, brings ambient poetry and occasional bursts of 70’s flower-power/prog-rock into the mix. Their influences range from Bob Dylan, Natalie Merchant, John Martyn and Lucinda Williams through to Suzanne Vega, and even include Gerry Leonard, Morcheeba, Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd.

They have released several EPs and singles, as well as two full-length albums. Their 2017 EP ‘Just Like You’ was rated #3 in Noizze Magazine’s TOP TEN releases of the year.
