20180720: Friday 20th July: The Electric Lights Album Launch

Support: Dan Wilde

The Electric Lights are a Cambridge based Rock Band that were born out of their former band Lighting Jack. and then The Lights, an acoustic trio. The Electric Lights are a real mix of Classic Rock meets modern day Rock, taking influences from the likes of Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac to Biffy Clyro and Green Day. The Electric Lights are Cliff Ward, guitar and vocals, Lester Lloyd-Reason, guitars and vocals, Pete Ord, bass and Ian Turner, drums and vocals.

After Lighting Jack ran its course, as so many bands do, Cliff and Lester decided to continue working together as a duo but after asking Ian Turner to play some percussion at a gig it worked so well that they decided to become a 3 piece!

After many gigs as a trio playing acoustic, the band decided it was time to make some noise again and play electric. They they discovered Pete Ord on the Bass and the new band was formed!

This evening the Band will launch their debut album as The Electric Lights which is being released in vinyl.
