Elsi: Having spent her early days immersed in the world of music and Folk Festivals, Elsi naturally became mad about music. Consequently, she has been playing suitar and singing ofr as long as she can remember. In 2019, she had her first big break and played on the main stage at Ely Folk Festival. Since then, she has been developing her own style and creating her own music to share with the live music community.
Mythopoeic: Mythopoeic are Katherine Galvin and Jay Monk, young folk singer/songwriter musicians from Cambridge. At the tender age of 12, they got together to write some songs and played their first ever gig at the Open Mic session at Ely Folk Festival in 2017. They were chosen to open on Ely’s main stage the following evening. They have since had festival bookings at Ely and Folk East, and have featured several times on BBC local radio. They mainly play their own songs with some music from the tradition or their own “folked up” interpretations of more contemporary material. Their songs combine beautiful vocal harmonies with compelling story-telling.
Kelly & Woolley: Matt Kelly and Gary Woolley sing songs and play tunes from a wide variety of styles, but particularly Cajun, folk, bluegrass and country. They have been playing together as a duo for ten years and perform regularly in venues and at Festivals across the region. Matt is a multi instrumentalist and plays in a number of orchestras as well as Thursday’s Band. Gary has been playing the guitar and singing since he was 14.
