Dan has been performing his own brand of richly observant folk for the past 12 years. Three studio albums in, the evidence is clear that he’s an extraordinary songsmith, while his stunning guitar playing has led to an endorsement from Fylde guitars. Previous releases, This is the Place (2011), With Fire in Mind (2013) and Rhythm on the City Wall (2016) have cemented his reputation, and he is currently working on his fourth studio album, due out in Summer 2022. His profound lyrics and unique melodic sensibility show him maturing into a poetic commentator and keen observer of everyday life’s patterns and tapestries. His lyrics are both “deeply personal and introspective but engrossing and charismatic” (Folkworks). Dan has supported some of the best-known names on the folk circuit, including Cara Dillon and Sam Carter, and has performed at some of the country’s best-loved folk festivals.
“A fantastic songwriting talent who without a doubt will deserve and demand your attention” – Eclectically Challenged.
Anna Hester has a ‘powerful and confident voice’ (Fatea 2014), and moves ‘effortlessly between genres, but always with an emotional core’ (Cambridge Music Reviews 2018). Her songs have been played on BBC Introducing Cambridgeshire and the BBC Radio Cambridgeshire Folk Show. Anna has performed widely in the South East and East of England, including at The Stables in Milton Keynes, Cambridge Junction, and several times at Milton Keynes International Festival. She has also performed in Berlin. Anna has released two EPs. Her debut album Postcard Songs, on which every song is inspired by a postcard, came out in August 2021.
