20190111: Friday 11th January: Pat Crilly & Greg Camburn; Chris Fox & The Running Men; Three Years Younger

£9.00

Pat and Greg: This popular duo, whose collaboration goes back about 12 years, performs original and traditional material. Their original compositions usually reflect Pat's travel, experiences and the folks he's encountered. So songs featuring Senegalese steel workers and offshore divers sit alongside twisted Irish love stories and songs about whatever has occurred to them recently, all enriched by fantastic soprano sax and whistle from Greg and alternate tunings on guitar and Irish bouzouki from Pat. Seasick Steve caught them at the now defunct 12 Bar Club in Soho, and commented "These guys are good."

Chris transcribes songs of the human experience in an eclectic range of styles across the folk and roots spectrum, writing and performing songs using a new roots soundscape that encompasses a cultural whiplash of traditional and contemporary Folk, Americana, Country, and Blues. Tonight he will be joined by some of his musical associates, The Running Men.

Three Years Younger
Aged just 14 and 17, sisters Megan and Charlotte Simpson, from Suffolk, have been singing together for as long as they can remember, and perform in a variety of styles from Nashville Country to alternative Indie-Rock. Kicking off a music career with covers and new songs of their own, they’re about to release their first album, and were really excited to be amongst our guests at the 2018 Cambridge Folk Festival.
